Pedal and Kettle (beginner mountain bike ride) or just Kettle

Cleveland Metroparks newest Trail...

The new, natural surface Royalview Trail will offer beginners and experienced mountain bike riders over 8 miles of trails through the beautiful woodlands and offer amazing views of Royalview Creek. Beginners will find the trail smooth and easy to maneuver, with easy access for short or long rides. More experienced riders will enjoy the flowing single track up and down the ravines.

This is a beginner ride with no lancing. No one will be left in the dust. Riders must be comfortable with their bikes with decent balance. Helmets recommended. Light might be a good idea as well.. This is for the novice mountain biker or the rider that just wants to ride without going balls to the wall.

Dinner to follow at Brew Kettle on Pearl. Ride is beautiful and at times flows fast. We hope we can make this weekly ride grow.

We will start with the yellow trail, then to the red, and if sunlight permits, down back the yellow trail back to the cars.

Parking is on the left as soon as you pull onto Royalview Lane. We leave at 6:15 sharp.

Don't mountain bike? Feel free to meet us at the Brew Kettle at 915 pm.

I will make this ride depending on weather. I cannot make the 5:45 start time but will ride the trail myself and meet you guys at the BK later that evening.

Will a fitness hybrid do OK on this trail? I have the mountain bike style handle bars, but not the nubby tires. They are wider however than a road bike. Thanks!
