  • It's that time again, last year we had 3 great train rides.

Join me in a fun day on the Towpath.

We start our with a train ride to Akron, then ride back. With a stop at Fishers for Lunch The Train leave at 10am. This will be about 28 mile ride. And don't forget one of the best thing is the 3 dollar train ride.

Train leaves right at 10am Their will be a lot of bikes going on the train, so try to get there a little early, so that they have time to load them.

It's going to be a great weather day for biking

I propose to the group an out and back ride instead, since the train and bike ride canceled with the heavy rains. Any takers?

Moses, Check with the Park about the train ride since parts of the tracks got washed away yesterday and it didn't look like it was going to be a quick fix.

Be encouraged. 28 miles is not as bad as it sounds. Besides, no one will run off and leave you alone. Bikers tend to love and care for each other:+)

You can pick up the train at Brecksville or Peninsula to shorten your trip. You can also pick up the train on the way back, you have options

Thank you but I am a beginner and prefer the slower pace rides or less miles. 28 miles would kill a beginner lol

Try Happy Trail bike group, they do a lot of rides with us but shorter and slower pace

      January 26, 2014

    • Mark L

Tracie, they end up taking a fair number of stops. It almost works out to three 9 mile rides that happen to be on the same day. Moses can give you a better idea.
