Get Ready To Ride

I got and Email again from the Metroparks. Anyone interested in volunteering and representing Spokes N' Jokes? It is a day full of networking and meeting other people in the biking community. I have to work so I will be late. Im looking for a good turn out. Maybe some people with laptops to show some pictures, talk about our group etc, just like last year..Hope we can represent well! ! Here is the letter!

Thanks again for speaking with me earlier. As I mentioned, we'd like to invite Spokes N' Jokes back to this year's Bike Day at CanalWay - "Let's Get Ready to Ride!" Below is the information I mentioned.

Sunday, March 16th (1pm-4pm) is our annual Bike Day at CanalWay – “Let’s Get Ready to Ride!” and we’d love for Spokes N' Jokes to be part of the fun as an exhibitor. We want to help show off what you offer our region’s bicyclists. Last year we drew just shy of 300 guests, and we’re working for even more this year. Exhibitors are free, guests are free, and the wi-fi around here is free, too. No selling, but you can promote your organization as much as you like and collect information from the guests (email addy, phone #, etc) as much as they're willing to share. We're focusing on beginner-to-intermediate riders and hope to introduce them to the myriad of bicycling options in northeast Ohio. Please let me know if you would like to be an exhibitor and I'll get back in touch with you regarding what you might need (tables, chairs, electricity, room for displays, etc). If you'd like a clearer picture of what we're trying to do or have any other questions, feel free to call me at CanalWay [216-206-1000]. Thank you for your consideration.

So excited to spread the word. I will be in a ISU cyclone cycling jersey (because they are going to win the Big 12 championship tonight) and a white hybrid bike.

hmmm, I bowl every Sunday or else I would do this. I tell everyone about this group when I get into conversations about riding. This would just be an extension of that. I'll see if I can get someone to bowl for me this weekend so I can help, but I can't promise.

Dag nab it, hit enter too soon. The laptop is a 17 inch monitor, so it should be acceptable for viewing. Hope there is a plug there. Not sure how long my battery will last. The tablet I'm not worried about, battery on it will last for ever

Fantastic. Just let me know what I need to do. Do we typically collect names and email addresses, etc.?

No, we just mingle. You will see and meet a lot of people.

Since the New shirts aren't in, is there a way to wear the old versions from last year.

I'm pretty new to the group, but I enjoyed several rides last year. I'm happy to help at this event. Do I need to be there earlier than 12:30? I can bring my tablet computer to show the website (I don't have any of my own pictures of the group).
