Greenhouse Open Studio

Greenhouse Open Studio

The Greenhouse Open Studio is your sewing studio away from home! Bring your personal project and work at your own pace in the Greenhouse for three uninterrupted hours of sewing. Stuck on a step of your sewing project? Our sewing mentor, Teri Stern, will be available to help you through the tricky parts.

The Greenhouse is equipped with ironing and cutting stations, and we are well stocked with basic tools that you are welcome to use while you're here. If you need to borrow a machine, be sure to let us know in advance!

Open Studio is your time to sew!

**At December's Open Studio, we'll be finishing our Project Linus quilt!**

We're just putting all of the 12" x 12" blocks donated over the past two months together to finish our donation quilt. Once we're finished, we'll be dropping the blanket with our local chapter of Project Linus for the holidays! I'm so excited to see the results of our very first quilting bee!

All blocks will be collected at Pins & Needles on Tuesday, December 17.

Of course, you are still welcome to bring any project you like to this Open Studio!

Hello, hello! Just a quick update about the quilt.

Emily, a local teenager facing brain surgery, just received the quilt we made during this winter's Project Linus quilting bee. She loves the blanket. :) She will undergo surgery tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts!

We have so many gorgeous blocks to add to our quilt after last night's Pins & Needles! I can't wait to put it all together tomorrow! And this is super exciting-- we've had a very, very generous offer from a long arm quilter to take in the top and backing to actually quilt the blanket for us! It's so amazing to have such generous folks in our community! So, we'll get the top and backing ready tomorrow night, send the blanket on its way, and then we'll add the binding when it comes back!

I'm so excited to have so many folks involved in creating this quilt! Looking forward to seeing it all come together! See you tomorrow evening!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
