WELCOME

Sport-Tour Riders of Central Florida is a new motorcycle Meetup group started in August 2011. We are motorcycle enthusiast, not bikers (sorry guys, no cruisers). We appreciate the connection between the rider, the machine, and the road. We’d rather get wet on two wheels than stay dry on four. There is an appreciation of scenic tree lined roads, but a love affair with twisty “edge of your tire” high mileage day long rides. We enjoy the Japanese and European bikes the most, and oh yeah, the farkles, we love them too!

If you ride a sport-touring machine, a dual-sport bike, or a sport or standard motorcycle modified for touring and are an experienced rider ( five plus years with a motorcycle endorsement), come take a ride with us. We welcome members throughout Central Florida.

THE RIDES

Sport Tour Riders of Central Florida will post one Saturday ride each month. Then members are encouraged to fill in the calendar with your own favorite routes, short, medium, or long, weekend or weekday. However, if you suggest a ride, be prepared to organize it. Post your suggestions on our Meet-up site. If three or more people RSVP “yes” it will be added to the event calendar. As the group evolves and matures, overnight rides to some of Florida’s greatest destinations will be posted, as well as out of state tours.

RIDER SAFETY AND WAIVER

By joining Sport-Tour Riders of Central Florida you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY. If safety is not your top priority, do not join this group. Habitual unsafe riding will not be tolerated.

2. To protect you and the members of this group you must have a motorcycle endorsement on your valid driver’s license. This will be verified during your initial ride with the group.

3. By joining this group, you are indicating a minimum of five years of street motorcycling experience.

4. Obey our Road Captains while riding in our Group Rides, as we primarily do our group riding in Staggered Formation and occasionally in Single File..

5. You hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all group functions.

6. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold the group's Organizer or any of the Road Captains liable for any injury, loss or damage to your own person or property arising directly or as a consequence from any of our group activities.

7. You must have some type of towing service coverage, like AAA, Allstate Motor Club, AARP Roadside Assistance, ROK, etc...
