Volleyball For Fun (Recreational). "Please RSVP if you intend to come."

  • May 3, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Friday night volleyball is recreational level fun! But all levels are welcome. Please RSVP early. Do not wait till last minute to make changes to your RSVP.

Come out, be active, meet friends and have fun. Everyone's welcome. You come, take ownership and play.

Facility charges $5.00 per person.

You come, take ownership and play. We meet/catch up with friends during breaks. Organizers listed here are helpers who post the event and help answer any questions you new members may have. Do not expect them to run the event. At court we expect everyone to step up and help make this a fun event for each other.

New to SportsNFun? It is pick up, not league. You must be open to play with varied skill levels. If you have played before and if you have basic skills, then you'll probably fit in okay with a willingness to advance.

As far as the meetup web site goes, the organizers have the rights to exclude anyone we so desire. Those are the programmed rights of the different organizers. However, to answer your question in a more moral sense, the organizers try to prevent this as much as possible. It's very rare that we, actually, "kick" someone from the group. It's hard, in general, to track down specific individuals and penalize them on the meetup site. The organizers realize that the events are being held in a public format. So, we don't extend our authority into the jurisdiction of the gym.

Chris, Yes. We have been doing Friday nights at PMCC for 3 years now :). We had permission from the very beginning. Warren is right, we have never had to kick anyone out. We will make them aware of the RSVP system. It will help them everyone.

We've got a lot of people on the waitlist for Friday night. Please don't wait until the last minute to update your RSVP if you wont be attending -- that's rather inconsiderate to the people on the waitlist. Also, if you are on the waitlist and you make other plans because you don't think you'll get in, make sure you remove yourself from the waitlist or you'll just delay/prohibit others on the waitlist from getting in.

Why does stuff like this always seem to happen when I'm not there? Were the extra people actually from our group?

Hi, it was my first time at this meetup. I had a great time. There were definitely more people than who RSVPed, but most people seemed to have a great time. I arrived about 15 minutes late, but I still managed to play about 10 games that night. If there's an option to use a third outdoor court, that would help accomodate the demand.

I met 2 new people and I see they're not on the list. I think some people just show up and it's unfair to those that RSVPed.
