Center City Intro to firearms and optional dinner in Chinatown afterward

We currently have more people than they can handle. If you cannot get there a little earlier, please change your RSVP so others can go.
Here's the tentative plan: When you get there you will need to show ID and fill out a short form. Once everyone is there, their staff will give some basic safety training, for approximately 20 mins to 1/2 hr. After that, we will go into the range and everyone will have the opportunity to shoot at the targets. We will begin with 22's. Anyone interested can fire additional guns as well. They can answer your questions and provide assistance as needed.
They close at approximately 8:00pm. After that, anyone interested can walk over to Shiao Lan Kung, 930 Race St in Chinatown to get something to eat. Food - extra
Cost: $35 is an ala carte estimate. This includes: instruction, ear / eye protection, targets, gun rental, range fees, ammo. Additional guns can be rented as desired .
Parking: There in street parking available on Percy St. I believe it is a 2 way street. It's on the north side of Spring Garden St. between 10th & 11th Sts. If you are going east (toward NJ) in the left lane of Spring Garden you can make a u-turn at 10th St. into the right lane. Then make a right onto Percy St. It's easy to do because there is a left turn arrow.
A guy who works there told me the neighbors thanked them because the crime rate dropped off the table since they opened. Hmmm, I wonder why?

1) Always assume the gun is loaded
2) Always keep it pointed in a safe direction
3) Always keep your finger away from the trigger until you ready to fire at the target.

This meetup was great. Yuri was very knowledgeable and did a great job with the rookie (me). The only disappointing thing was that nearly everyone bailed or did not show up. How did we go from 16 signed up to 3 who actually came?

Unfortunately since it's a week night, I don't think I can come. I'd LOVE to, especially since I just bought a Smith & Wesson that I need to break in.
However, if anyone wants to join me to plink at the French Creek public range sometime, please send me a message. I'm always up for some fun at the range.
