Square City Studio and Nationals Game vs. Cubs

This is an event for SCC's artists and writers to get together and work on their projects (drawing or writing) in a cooperative environment where we can share ideas, ask advice, and most importantly, get some actual work done!

This Second Installment of the Square City Studio will be a little different. We will be meeting outdoors at The Yards Park near Nationals Stadium. The group will meet at the area of the park called the Overlook. This vantage will offer tables, shade, and views of some great architecture and the Anacostia River.

And as an added bonus, after the meeting, those interested can proceed to Nationals Park to watch our Nats take on the Chicago Cubs. Those attending the 4PM ball game should plan to pack light, as you will need to get your bag checked at the gate, and will have to carry around what you bring all afternoon. So I'm thinking the studio will be more of a sketch book/drawing exercise kind of event rather than a day to bust out the 11 x 17 boards.

My plan is to post our group up at the Center Field bar in the stadium, and enjoy some beer, and maybe some more sketching at the nearby wicker seating when we need to take a load off.

Sorry I am missing this one! Too many stations closed my way for track work and a morning migraine set me back. I did find the name of that character chart from the "Art of Game Design". It is called an 'interpersonal circumplex'.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
