I started playing guitar decades ago, played in a band in the late 60's. All this really means is that I've owned a guitar for a long time. Switched to bass about 10 years ago because we needed one for the band at church. Been playing almost every week since then. I'm willing to give singing a shot.
I suspect I would benefit more from playing with the group, but willing to help in any way I can.
I view any chance to play as a benefit. Having a weekly practice would give me an opportunity to improve my skills. And being around others who play for the joy of it without alot of egos is what I like.
Been listening all my life, but didn't recognize some of it as blues until later in life. I like all kinds of music, with the possible exception of opera and rap. I get to Memphis a couple times a year and really enjoy spending time on Beale Street listening and talking to the musicians.
I play well with others. At this point in my life I'm not really interested in doing anything that isn't fun and interesting to me. I don't enjoy being around people who constantly criticize, condem, and complain about everything. I try to be an encourager, to lift people up when ever I can.
Born to play the blues, forced to work!
Cool! Can't be 5 stars without Squir! Lots of great comments!
