The Wish-fulfilling Cow: Cultivating Abundance
Please join us in our monthly ritual cultivation of abundance and prosperity. Kamadhenu energy was transfered from a Murthi into a tree on Mt. Tabor almost three years ago. We worship and feed Her every full moon. Through the medium of the 5 senses and 5 elements we connect with the nurturing aspects of the goddess and the spirits of the forest.
Any donations to help offset the cost of offerings, milk, fruits, flowers etc… are always appreciated. Please bring fruits and flowers for an offering.
Kamadhenu (Sanskrit: Kamadhenu), also known as Surabhi , is a divine bovine-goddess described in Hindu mythology as the mother of all cows. She is a miraculous "cow of plenty" who provides her owner whatever he desires and is often portrayed as the mother of other cattle as well as the eleven Rudras. In iconography, she is generally depicted as a white cow with a female head and breasts or as a white cow containing various deities within her body. All cows are venerated in Hinduism as the earthly embodiment of the Kamadhenu.
