Introduction

Iyengar certified yoga teacher since 1996. In 2000 received diksha in Sri Vidya (Tantric Worship of the Goddess) at the Sri Vidya temple in Rochester, New York. In 2003 Colin received purnadiksha from Sri Amritanada of Devipuram, India.

What is your experience of/with Tantra?

I have been involved in yoga since 1989. I have been learning Tantric practices since 1996 and was initiated into Sri Vidya in 2000.

What is your experience of/with Vedic Chanting?

I chant pancha Suktams regularly. I am interested in sharing the benifits of chanting with the community. I would like to start Sri Suktam/Khadga Mala Stotram, Lalitha Sahasrana and Sri Rudram chanting groups.

What benefits would you like to experience by joining this group?

Exposing people to authentic Vedic/Tantric practices. Eventually my Guru has expressed interest in a teaching visit to Portland once we have a strong core group again.
