St. Louis Game Jam Spring 2014 @ Webster

Are you ready for another amazing Game Jam? Announcing the Spring 2014 St. Louis Game Jam at Webster!

A Game Jam is an organized event where anyone interested in game development can come and join a small team in spending the entire weekend creating a video or board game from start to finish. Participants are given a theme and 48 hours to create a game, which is then demoed in front of all participants at the conclusion of the weekend.

St. Louis' game development community has embraced these events, and this event will likely be a more intimate setting to meet local game developers and collaborate with each other to make a video or board game.

More details and official signups coming are at www.stlgamejam.com

I'm super proud of what I accomplished and was humbled by the caliber of talent I was able to be creative with.

I've never felt more motivated and I can honestly say I'm officially hooked to these game jams.

Being that this was like my 9th game jam or something like that, I'd say I've been hooked.

I'm in the same boat, Zeekar. This was my first game jam, and I'm definitely hooked. It gave me the push I needed.

Welp I managed to get sick just in time for this. If it's the same thing my parents had last week, I really shouldn't be in close quarters with y'all. Have fun, everyone! Maybe I'll try to jam from home.

This feels like a dumb question, but there is no 'end' time for each day.

Do people just...sleep there (Or power through the weekend without sleep)? Or does everyone go home at some unspecified time each night?

Not really but you should definitely take care of yourself.

Sorry, I'd love to be there, but we're doing our Child's Play charity marathon for the 10th anniversary of The Video Games Show that weekend. Best of luck to all.

Where are you doing the marathon?

And I've joined this group, specifically to go to a Game Jam that starts this week... and at the same time I'm not sure enough of my schedule to commit to going.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
