Attend the Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens

FYI I am not necessarily interested in sitting right up front. I like to be able to talk and visit with the people I am with. There is a nice area off to the side that is usually not over crowded, you can still hear the music and might be able to see the band. I am open to other suggestions though. So please do share.

Via the official website:

oh thats to bad. we were off to the left of the path that leads to the bandstand. I hope I didn't miss an email from you. I texted and called those whose numbers i had. Sorry we missed you. :-( We had a sign staked in the ground also but it was packed with people and hard to see beyond even a few yards away. Next time Lucy.

Hey Rebecca! Thanks for setting this up. First time I have been to the garden in a couple years! We are arriving shortly after 5, munch on KFC,
visit the fishies and all that, then head back to the music area. See you after while......

Hi there, About parking: I live across the street from the garden and everyone parks on the residential streets after the parking lots are filled. We're used to it! Its fine.

Hard to predict but it usually doesn't get crowded until 6pm.

this is perfect thanks. sorry we don't get to visit with you tonight. maybe next time.

      July 9, 2014

of course the crowd being unpredictable I will not know the exact location until I stake it out but if anyone wants my phone number so you can text me if you cant find us I would be happy to share that in a private message, just email me here at meetup.com. I am going a bit early with one other person if anyone can come early to help hold a space large enough for 10 blankets it will help ensure that 10 blanket will be able to be held however I am assuming it wont be a problem either way?? It should be a lot of fun. See everyone there.

    July 4, 2014

last time i went there was a space on the left of the walking path up to the band stand. i thought id go early and check out the area. and yes post or hold a sign so that we would all know where to find each other. I recommend everyone bring there own towel, blanket or something to sit on. do we want to try and bring dishes to share? like a pot luck?

I'm not into being up close either so that sounds perfect to me.
