I just moved back to beautiful St. Paul after having lived in Wilmington, NC for the past 6 years. I was the organizer of a fitness walking group there and hope to duplicate that experience here. Not only did we have a group of avid walkers, we became great friends who I will have for life.
My goal for this group is to schedule at least 2 walks per week in the general areas of Highland Park, Macalester- Groveland, Como Park and other areas nearby. I will schedule one during the day and one in the evening.
As people join the group, I hope to get feedback on the time and location for walks that best suit the group.
I would like to accomodate walkers of various abilities, but this is fitness walking and generally the pace will be 3 miles per hour. The walks will be averaging 3 miles long.
I will try to make most walks a loop, such as two times around Como Park Lake, so a beginner can opt to go around only once.
