Gun-n-Run Challenge: All Creatures Great and Small

Gun-n-Run Challenge: All Creatures Great and Small

Portraiture practice for you and your pet (or neighbors pet for those that don't own). Be it a gold fish or a golden retriever or a golden sun conure...all pets are possible subjects. Please don't confuse this with a nature shoot; your challenge is to take a portrait quality photo of a pet (with owner optional) using lighting, composition, and your skills to the best advantage (by lighting I mean you don't have to add extra lighting, no just use available light to your best advantage). Open shade, a window with sheer curtains, anything that gives a nice quality to your light. Then apply your composition skills like selection of background, pose, rule of 3rds and so on. Finally bring your creation into your software (be it Photoshop, Gimp, Picasa, or whatever) and enhance the image any way you see fit. Post your images in the album.
Da Rules:
Challenge runs through now until May 30th 6pm.
New photos ONLY, No photos taken before April 1st qualify.
All decisions of the judges are anonymous and final. Winning photo may have to show EXIF capture data.

Oh, yes there will be a small prize for the most promising** effort (a color correction card VALUED AT $4!! I know, I know, how the h*ll can we be so extravagant...) Judging will be polled from the organizers (** best effort not just “the best”).

Oh no!!! I just read the entire message and discovered that photos prior to April 1 are not eligible. Therefore, I am disqualifying my photos from the Challenge, but will leave them up for VIEWING purposes only.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
