RIDE NOTES: Rides will roll out no more than 5 minutes after the advertised start time, please arrive early and be ready to roll on time.

- Come prepared for mechanical breakdowns (bring spare tube, patch kit, tire levers, multi-tool).

- Be sure to bring enough water for the length of the ride, especially with warmer weather ahead of us. As a general rule, one bottle of water is good for 1 hour of riding (8oz per 20 mins of ride time).

Hey you all, thanks for a great ride yesterday - loved it! What a classic route. Thanks, Pati & Nick!

In the spirit of cycling, here's a cute story about cycling and Dave Mathews of the Dave Mathews band. Laurie shared it with me today and I think you all will get a kick out of it: http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/15/showbiz/dave-matthews-hitches-ride/index.html

does anyone live in Boulder that wants to ride to Longmont to the start??? I live a couple miles from old stage road- I might ride from boulder to Longmont to Jamestown then home....or maybe I drive to Longmont and do the ride with you guys then drive home...

Hey Molly, you could always meet us at the Greenbriar Inn too (Hwy 36 & Left Hand Canyon - from Boulder just cycle up via 36). usually it takes us about 40mins +/- to reach the Left Hand Canyon turn off, so say 8.45am ish?.

After this SVCG ride, the cycling party continues with the Longmont Criterium in old town Longmont. Always a fun event to watch. Perhaps Nick will be racing?

    • Nick M.

Racing starts at 7.40am, but goes through until 5pm. It is a fun event to watch, and they always have a Left Hand Beer tent.
The Pros race from 2pm onwards, those are the best races to spectate at if you want to see Crit tactics and skills play out!. All the action is at Thompson Park in Old Town!.
