The terrain at LV ranges from flat, double track to tasty, twisty, tight single track with a couple decent climbs. This is a no-drop, social ride with possible drinking involved and a fairly long distance of about 12 miles. There will be several stops to re-group. Speedy types are welcome to break away from the swarm and ride at their own pace. Meet at 6:45 - Helmets go on at about 7pm DIFFICULTY: Riders new to MTBing may find this trail difficult, especially after dark. Email me if you have questions or concerns about this ride. See my night riding tips at STLMTB.COM
MEET AT THE MOUND AT 6:45 From 40 west make a left on 94 and go about 2 miles, right after you pass the high school, watch for a large white canvas type utility building on your right and then look for The Weldon Spring Interpretive Site. There is then a sign that says "Lindenwood Campus". Park on the big parking lot on the left. Look for my dark red Ford Sport Trac. I may be a minute or two late but will be ready to jam at 7:00 Join us for a post ride brewsky on the parking lot if you like! If trail conditions are not suitable for off roading, an alternative gravel road ride may be offered. If night time temperatures are expected to be below 20 degrees this ride may be canceled. If less than 4 riders sign up this ride may be canceled. Hope to see you there.

4 riders, two flats, cold winds, suborn presta valves, dead batteries and possibly one of the most heinous winter night rides I have done. May I have another please?

This place gets better every time I come back. The new singletrack is great. The ice on the dirt was rideable, the ice at the creek crossings, not so much. Lots of fun!
