The 2013 State Convention/State Committee meeting of the Missouri Libertarian Party will take place on Saturday, February 23rd, 8 am to 5 pm at the Truman Hotel and Conference Center, 1510 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65109, tel: [masked].
The hotel has a special room rate of $55+tax for Friday night. Call them and mention Missouri Libertarian Party when you make your reservation. Reserve ahead of time to be sure you get the special rate. The normal rate is $69.
There is no cost to attend the meeting. There is a cost of $20 to attend the Awards Luncheon. If you plan to attend the meeting, please RSVP no later than Feb 19th to me at [address removed] and advise if you are also attending the lunch, . If you want to attend the Awards Luncheon, you must pay $20 by Feb 19th. Go to LPMO.org and click on Donate (or https://www.lpmo.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=2). Make a one-time donation of $20 and then send me your RSVP for the meeting and note that you have paid online. You may also mail a check for $20 to LPMO Treasurer, 3425 Gladstone Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64123. The check must be received by Feb 19.
The focus of this year's meeting will be a business meeting to work on the strategic plan for the party.
Note on Officer Elections - The current Chair and Treasurer will seek reelection. The current Vice Chair will not seek reelection. The current Secretary is interested in running for Vice Chair, though would also consider runnning for Secretary if needed.

Two proposed by-Laws changes have been circulated and new ones cannot be considered at this point, but the proposed ones may be amended at the meeting. By-laws changes are voted on by the State Committee members present. If you would like to propose Platform changes, please email those to me no later than Feb 17th and I will circulate to the membership ahead of time. Changes may also be proposed at the meeting, but I would encourage you to submit them ahead of time for expediency. Platform changes are voted on by the Voting Members present.
Reminder - There may be up to two State Committee members for each State Senate District. There may be two Executive Committee members and two alternates for each US Congressional District. If you have interest in these postions but will NOT be attending the meeting, let me know.
