Please join your fellow stairclimbers as we hike the staircases in Highland Park, and be careful, there maybe some ghosts on the staircases! After the hike, join use for Happy Hour at The Greyhound Bar and Grill!
We'll go through the Mt. Angelus area of Highland Park. The streets and stairways in Mt. Angelus were named after well known activists in the women’s suffrage movement and abolitionists. The ghosts of these activists are said to haunt the streets and stairways of Mt. Angelus, though I have never seen them. The only ghost I've ever saw was Resurrection Mary in Chicago.
Then we'll walk to Garvanza and do two staircases. One staircase is across the street from one of the most beautiful buildings in LA; Church of Angels. The other staircase is beautifully titled by, from what I understand, the students at the school at the base of the staircase.

Optional Post-Hike at The Greyhound Bar and Grill
After the walk, you are welcomed to join us for Happy Hour at The Greyhound Bar and Grill. Greyhound has a great Happy Hour Menu. We will walk to Greyhound which will add about a mile roundtrip to the walk.
All walks should be treated like a workout!
No crashers- Only those who have RSVP'd "YES" are welcomed for this walk. Please do not just show up.
RSVP limits are set, because I don't want a huge group on these walks. So, if you RSVP only for yourself, don't bring a guest.
Please keep your RSVP updated and current. Repeated No Shows may lead to members being removed from the group.
There usually are no restrooms along these walks. Restrooms are usually only available at the starting point of the walks.
Always bring plenty of water.
Always wear running/tennis shoes. Open toed shoes are not a good idea for these stairs walks.
Any questions or concerns please email me, David, at least one day before the event. I do not have a smart phone, so I can't respond to messages & emails left the day of the walk!
