Tomato Pie Walk- Walks #30, 31

This is the weekly Tomato Pie Stairswalk led by the Los Angeles Stairstreet Advocates, that will do all 14 staircases in the Franklin Hills/Silver Lake area of LA. This walk combines almost all the staircases from Walks #30 & #31 in Fleming's book. After the walk, you're welcomed to join the group for great pizza at Tomato Pie. They sell pizza by the slice, some great salads, and the famous garlic knots! Or find some other walkers and order a freshly baked whole pizza!!

LA Weekly has named the Tomato Pie Walk the Best Outdoor Stair Workout, Eastside for 2012.

I realize this is on a weeknight and many people may not be able to make this due to work and traffic. But, this is a great walk to add to your weekly exercise routine.

Bring a flashlight and wear light colored clothing.

Meeting Place:

Tomato Pie Pizza
2457 Hyperion Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90027

Look for Baller Hardware on Hyperion. Then turn on Tracy and Tomato Pie will be on your left hand size.

There usually is about a 10 minute grace period before the walk starts. If you're running late, look for the group walking south on Hyperion towards Sunset Blvd. Look for us at the interection of Hyperion and Scotland, or Lyric, or De Longpre.

Parking: Plenty of free parking on Tracy. If you park on Hyperion it's paid meter parking until 8pm.

Delightful group of people, great that I had the chance to do this for the first time and for the short cuts that were afforded me, were appreciated.

I guess I need to learn the route, because I was actually left behind last week when I was keeping company with the slower walkers. Smart phone GPS came in handy!
