Crowdfunding @ Social Media Sync - Free Pancakes & Social Media Wisdom

This week at Social Media Sync: Giulia Gouge will speak about Crowdfunding. As part of the agency RayGunV, she's had the opportunity to work with local, regional and national organizations on their crowdfunding journey. Learn what makes a great project, what the 30/30/30 timeline is, and more!

Social Media Sync (@SMSync_CT) is serving up hot coffee, pancakes, and innovative ideas. Wake up and meet up with the Twittersphere, FourSquare, bloggers, and Facebook friends in the Greater Stamford Community to discuss innovative ways social media is being used to grow businesses, develop communities, and create social change.

Each week we feature a different social media professional to speak about how they are using social media in new ways. Social Media Sync is a great way to network, connect, and learn. The Social Media Sync Team has been running these breakfasts at the Grove in New Haven for years. They are a smart bunch and we've convinced them to lend their skills our region.

Local versus regional, car versus train. I avoid I-95 virtually all of the time, but particularly during morning rush hour. Sharing and brainstorming led by Peter before the late arrival of speakers was helpful. Guilia and Mason did a superb job on crowd funding from Act I to Act V. Having raised donations for charities for 40 years, it is disconcerting and exciting to see folks will jump on board with worthwhile projects. I have one in mind, a republishing and distribution of Prayer, Laughter & Broccoli: being There When Your Wife has Breast Cancer. Got a referral for my copywriter services and an invitation to share the MaxExposure! Social Media program for small businesses and sole proprietors. Kudos all. Courtesy note, remember there should be one person talking no matter how interesting your neighbor might be. Shhhhh... Keep these coming!!

Pretty great, actually. I loved the inclusive discussion element in the beginning.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
