Enjoyed Skyler and Peter's session yesterday. Great 1st impression.
As a first time entrepreneur I'd love to get some advice......we are at the idea stage. Great idea, we've done our market research, but now what? We want to share it so we can attract the right developer(s), the right partners, the right investors, but at this stage how do we protect the idea? We don't have a patent or provisional patent, nor do we want to go to that expense yet (plus its still just an idea and no code yet). What advise can you lend that might help me move the ball but also protect us as we do so at this stage?
    Much appreciated.
Also Peter, can you forward my question to Skyler? I had to leave after the session for another mtg and didn't get a chance to stay and meet formally. Thanks again.

Hi Steve -- I will forward your question to Sky. In terms of getting day to day advice, I'd highly recommend you click on this link http://forms.ctnext.c...

where you can register your company as a local startup. Once that is done you will get assigned to our "hub" (assuming you are based in Fairfield County, if not, there are 3 other state sponsored hubs that you will get assigned to). Janis Collins, our Startup Company Advisor will contact you. Janis can give you some great insights and she has created a strong list of mentors who all bring different sorts of expertise to the table. Between Janis and a Mentor and our community, I'm sure we can help you make the best next step

Great to stumble into Hacker Night on Tuesday at the iCenter, lots of talent in the room. I look forward to some good conversations on tech, strategy and how "The Missing Middle" is evolving in 2013.
