Hi All,

Join us for another late night paddle from Cos Cob on Wed night. We'll meet at the ramp at 9:00.

In my opinion there is no better time of day to be out on the water. So come on out!!!

Directions to the launch site are on the message board http://kayaking.meetu... and if you are definitely coming and are unsure of where to meet drop me a note prior.

As always....

We need at least 3 confirmed yes RSVPs by mid afternoon on Thursday. We don't go out with less then 3. So... if by 4:00 the day of the paddle we don't have enough people we'll cancel and try again the following week.

You will need you're own kayak and gear. And everybody MUST wear a vest and bring a waterproof light & whistle.

Kayak rentals can be acquired from The Small Boat Shop Call (203) 854-5223 or at EMS on High Ridge. Both places offer gear, but The Small Boat Shop has the best selection. You might also try Wilton Outdoor Sports.

As a note...if you are very new to kayaking you should do a few day paddles first. Paddling at night is a blast but it is different and you'll want to be very comfortable in your boat.

See you there!!!

Sandra

--------------

The Coast Guard minimum requirements for kayakers are vest, whistle, and white waterproof light. Recommended additional (minimum) items include paddle float, pump, and two paddling buddies. Well prepared kayakers also have a marine radio, tow rope, knife, spare paddle, emergency kit, etc.

    •  Well I'm happy to say this week I returned with the same number of victims I left with. It was a beautiful night of which the highlight was an adventurous exploration of a dark waterway that sadly ended with a porta-potty and a dead end. So very sad. But it was a gorgeous night and despite Ken and I fighting over directions (all in fun) it was a great paddle. We left from Cos Cob and paddled to Greenwich harbor and back.
