Hi Sandra , I'm Mike Bogart . I had my hip replaced about 15 years ago . Mine was a non glue or press fit . , So , I had to let it nit as if it was a broken bone . After 4 months I re started to kayak in a standard sea kayak . With the new hips you may get back on the water sooner . Your Dr. may not understand how we fit in a kayak . or you may have other issues ? Do you have a physical trainer ? ? If so what do thy say ?. I wish you well in your recovery . Mike

Hi Sandra, I haven't been paddling in a couple of years. I got my hip replaced last year. I'm not even sure if I can get in and out of it yet ! I can't go Monday, that's the only day I'm busy this weekend. I'd love to come another day. Beth Burns

    Hi Sandra,

I use Chris's bicycle because my car does not have a bike rack. I perfer to go in a separte car because I may need to cancel at the last moinute do to business reasons.

The ride is about 24 miles and is flat, no hills. It takes about 2 hours with 3 @ 10 minute water stops.

Hope you can join us on 9/22/11. We leave at 5:45 PM sharp. Bring water.

Hi Sandra!!! Thanks for your note...!!! You have to sign up for the days that you want to go. If there is no room then get on the waiting list... many times people's plans change and people on the waiting list move up and many times on to the "going" list. If you can't get on the list... I'm trying to see if we can bring out the "overflow" onto a powerboat to just go out and spectate... I hope that helps! Have a great weekend!! Best, John

    Hey Sandra:
Rescue practice was awesome. I assisted in two person, was the victim in two person rescue, and did self rescue as well. All was successful and I am feeling more confident in my boat. I missed you there. Hope everything is okay.

Hi Sandra, thanks for joining the group. it looks like you're about 35 minutes from where we'd start. I've postponed the trip until Thursday (or later, if the rain doesn't let up). Whenever the meetup does happen, I could see us going 15-20 miles. The rails-to-trails are nice and level so it's definitely on of the less strenuous activities.
