TUESDAYS
Beginning October 1, Five Weeks

Drawing for Boomers!
12:00pm
One hour taught, one hour of studio time. No previous experience necessary. Intro course: you will surprise yourself and your family! You will be working with Jann Haworth (co-designer of the album cover for The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band). You will make a collage updating the iconic Sgt Pepper, bringing your own ideas of "the in-crowd." We will be asking some questions about celebrity, social change, and authenticity. Be prepared for a brisk dialog about the legends of the 1960s, street art as contemporary pop art, female pop artists, and of coure the burning question: is Paul dead?

WEDNESDAYS
Beginning October 2, Five Weeks

Explore Clay
12:00pm
One hour taught, one hour of studio time. You will make slab pots, wild coil bowls, lanterns, whistles and small sculptures.

KIDS Clay Club
4:00pm
After school enrichment. Exploring all the things you can make with clay while learning some some geology, technology and history. Christmas is not far away!

THURSDAYS
Beginning October 3, Five Weeks

Printmaking
11:00am
All the basics of printmaking: lino prints, wood-cuts, stamps and stencils. The class will culminate in a small print show and sale as part of our Community Arts Program for November. Don’t miss it!

Collage
2:00pm
Make the art you would like to see in your home! The course starts with the basics of Bauhaus
Design, used as a spring board for discussion and creation!

Beginning October 4, Five Weeks

Drawing: ‘My Kid Can do That!’

Drawing is a skill not a talent. This skill can be taught using and redirecting skills that we already have and learning the secrets that artists use to help them ‘see’, focus and remember. Drawing is the 4th R and a supportive partner to Reading, aRithmetic, wRiting! Ages 8 up and join your kid if you want to learn too.

Pop Goes the Stencil: Street Art

SATURDAYS
Beginning October 5, Five Weeks

Art Explorers
2:00pm
Five different sessions :

A sampler-variety pack of ART! You will meet the Lab Artists, try the art forms they teach. The five weeks will take you through Computer Music creation demo, Creation of a Comic Character/Superhero, intro Clay headed Puppet making, sample Animation planning through Storyboarding, and lastly an intro to safety and the making of Wood Art. All ages. Music Sampling, Comic Visual Art, Clay for Puppets, Wood Whittlin’ and Carving, Animation.
