Come and learn how to stand-up paddle! Learn proper paddle stroke technique, turn techniques, launching your SUP and more. Once you are comfortable standing on your board you’ll cruise the waters of Vancouver, enjoying the amazing sights of the city from the ocean. A great core and cross training workout with minimal effort!
Paddle Canada Accredited Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboard: (1-2 hours)
Introduces the novice to paddling in enclosed sheltered waters and calm conditions. Skills covered include a kneeling, standing on a board, forward & turning strokes, and safety awareness.
We will meet at our shop at WazSUP 491 Pacific Street. You can leave your belongings there and we will walk about a block to the lesson location.
Includes PFD, Paddle, SUP. Dress for the weather and to be active and comfortable. Also be prepared to get wet.
What to wear and bring?
We recommend wearing a swimsuit, board-short or a wetsuit, non-cotton top or bottom. Bring a water bottle and towel. Its highly recommended to bring a change of clothes.
