I think we are going to try continuing Campaign T4. The next scenario on deck is an Orion pirate raid on the Federation convoy and its escorts.

Great game, even though we didn't get through it all.

finished the crap-tastistic paint on the Orions at 2am today. I am AO READY to see these things in play....even with a poor paint job. I will be taking pics today and posting to the site!! see you all at Aresenal!!

Nick is going to slap a Quick-N-Dirty coat of paint on the appropriate minis for use in Sunday's game! Yay! We can finally play a game using the miniatures. I have trimmed the hex mat and applied some stickers for hex numbering (hopefully, they will stay attached). I also found some non-permanent mounting putty that may help keep the minis on the stands, too. I am psyched to try this all this out and see how it works!

Rather than do our regular 1v1 matchups this time, we will continue the campaign that was started on the 6th. The Orions managed to escape with one small freighter before the Federation Carrier Group showed up, so the first scenario was a draw. Will they fare better attacking the convoy en route to its destination???

What are we going to be running so I can pick ships?
0 · April 1, 2013
Yeah, I've been wanting to try some "early years" combat. If your concerned about ship selection, I would look at the master annex (on Tonys Google drive) to see what ship/races are available.

Maybe we could try this at WhosYerCon?
Yes... I won't be able to play... so please do :)

I am up for early years. But not at the con. We don't want to be fumbling with new rules and crappy ships while trying to draw in players.

Let me know if you are doing this 4/21 so I know to cancel my RSVP. Thanks!

Anyone want to do earlier years? Y[masked] max maybe?
0 · February 27, 2013
Maybe even Y165. About 130BPV.
Is there enough variety in Y165? Do the various races have ships to choose from in that year?
According to Module Y1, the Early Years period is typically Y80-Y120. Ships selection would be limited, and there are numerous restrictions on weapons, but it might be interesting to try it out. I know Nick has been itching to give it a try, also...
I'm not interested in Y1. I don't mind using "normal" rules (6 points EW, no atomic missiles, etc.) Someone will have to tell me which document has the years. I can't find anything that lists the ships like a master ship data annex.
Should have said normal rules in earlier years... Y165 is fine... Y120... not for me.
Dave, the Master Ship Chart in G3 (Master Annex File)has a column for Year in Service. The Master Ship Chart begins on page 14.
Cool. I see that page 15 of that document is messed up. I don't know if there are others; I've just gotten that far.
There are several others that I came across as well... 73, 113, and a few near there. I didn't go through the entire document. It looks like we could have a very basic set of ships at 165. Since the choices are so slim in that year, I'd suggest a squadron to small fleet action so we can get the BPV's pretty even.
I just checked my own document, and those pages are displaying fine. Can someone else check them to see if my upload got corrupted, or if Dave just got a bad download?
I just checked my downloads..they were good.
I checked mine. Those pages and more. All look good to me.
Thanks for checking. I was reading the document on the website (since I can't get it to download), so I guess it is my stupid web browser messing up trying to open the document.
