October Cruiser Battles

It was suggested that we deviate from the larger battles, and I heartily agree. We will try playing some 1-on-1 cruiser battles, taking it back to old-school!

Each player should pick a single ship, 150BPV limit (including refits, commander's options, drone upgrades, transporter bombs, etc.). The year is Y180. Since we are playing on a Sunday, we will need everyone to have their choices ready to go BEFORE game start time at 1pm. Do not tell anyone else what your ship and race choice is. We will roll to randomly determine who fights against whom. Allied battles will be considered training or simulator exercises, so we need not be concerned with what races we choose--even ships from from the same race may end up battling each other.

New players who may need some assistance with ship choices should e-mail me so that I can help.

Happy Hunting!

It went well. Got in three games in one afternoon. My record was 1-1-1 on the day. Gotta work on that.

Sorry guys, but I'm not going to be able to make this one. My older brother surprised the family by coming home Friday morning & will only be here until Tuesday. I only get to see him maybe once every year or two, so I will be trying to spend as much time with him as I can.

I am planning to spend some time on Saturday combing through SSDs. If anyone desires any help or information regarding ship choices for Sunday, e-mail me so that I can lend what assistance I can.

I've got mine picked out. I'll bring several SSD's for it.

Is there a master appendix somewhere? I want to take a look at several things in the appendices.

I do not have the Master Annexes, nor does the Master Rulebook have a combined annex.

We use the combat BPV (the right one) for purchasing ships... I believe that the economic BPV is used for scoring, but I may be wrong there.

As far as I am aware, the Economic BPV is only used during campaign games to determine the resource cost in building the ship. The combat BPV is still used for determining victory conditions.
