Let's have a great laugh watching Galaxy Quest

Daniel first posted about the scifi movies at the Cinetopia in Beaverton.

He is also correct about the change in date, so I have updated the event.

I thought we should have a separate sign up for this movie!

They are showing the movies on their 70-80ft GXL screens.

Galaxy Quest is a wonderful parody/spoof/documentary about Star TRTek fans. (The first time I saw this, I laughed so hard my son thought there was something seriously wrong with me!)

Let's get together and laugh together at this wonderful movie.

Admission is $10.

    Tickets for 7pm are sold out. I should have got mine sooner. I had planned it that way. Major facepalm.

    This is confusing! We have three different signups for the movie. I just checked the PR website. The movie is playing in the Movie Parlor. The +21 seats are sold out for the 7 pm show and 10 pm start might be a little late for some of us. Van Mall still has tickets and I live about a mile from there. I am going over to get my tickets for the +21 MP this afternoon. If you let me know to pick up some tickets for you (email, text, or call) I will be happy to. I would hate for anyone to lose out because of sold out tickets. I am posting this message to all three sign ups. So if you signed up more than once - you will see it more than once. :}

    You know I will be wearing some kind of trek attire! It is what I do.

    Sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant experience at PR, Charles. I double-checked the PR website and in accordance with Oregon state law, no one under 21 yrs. is allowed admission into the Living Room & Movie Parlor venues, where alcohol is served. The General Auditorium does allow those pesky, hated kids. :-), hence no booze. And yup, that's the jumbo sized screen. Last time 2 teen boys kept chattering during "Skyfall" I just turned to them and hissed "If you don't shut the **** up, I'll tell your parents!". Worked like a charm although hubby pretended he didn't know me.

    This is playing in couver so no point to trek all the way to PR.

    The PR location sucks, too crowded, a zoo, and parking difficult. In Oregon there is no 21 limit where alcohol is consumed. But since I hate kids I prefer the 21+ rule.

      I suppose we could just go to whichever location we want to or which is closest to us. Problem solved!

    actually this date is no longer accurate, they dropped First Contact on Nov. 6th and moved this movie to that spot. On October 9th they are showing Back To The Future. If you look at my original posting, I revised the actual dates to reflect the changes Cinetopia made to the original schedule. I was less then happy, but it's still a good set of movies. I have been adding the individual dates as they approach a bit closer....I can do them all if you like, I just thought it made more sense to post them a few weeks out instead of a few months out.
