Let's go see Captain Picard in the new X-Men Movie

X-Men: Days of Future Past comes out on May 23rd, but I would rather go on Saturday after the die-hards have already been. Come join me at the Vancouver Cinetopia for the movie.

I made the "command" decision and decided to schedule this meetup for the 6pm 3D showing. The major factors were that some of you aren't over 21 and I love the sound system in the GXL theatre.  I hope that suits everyone.

We can get together after the flick and discuss the goods and bads of the movie.

Just looked it up. There is another X-Men movie in the works. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

Yea, apparently Apocalypse is the name of that character at the end. Sounds interesting already.

Loved this movie and the people we watched it with! Also there was more Trek to this flick then Picard, which was also a pleasant surprise.

Good movie. Loved the Star Trek hat tip.

Why don't we meet up in front of the auditorium? What's a good time?

    May 24, 2014

    • Ilana L.

Joey. We didn't see anyone. I am in the theater with Jenn & Daniel. 2 rows up. Come join us.

Can you save a seat for me? I'll be there in 8 minutes.

If you are coming to this, and do not know us, I will be wearing a white "Padres" Baseball Jersey and shorts. You can look for me and Jen in the Food Court area from 4:45 to about 5:00 or so, or look for us in the line or inside. Hope to see you all there!

Driving in from Olympia/Lacey any idea which one were seeing? The 3D one makes that groupon deal rock! PLEASE do post which one the 6pm or 7:20pm. This will be my first meet up with you guys.

Are there plans to do anything else? This is a long drive from Wilsonville and movie meetups typically aren't very social. I kind of want to do this, but I don't see any point in driving that far just to see a movie, turn around, and go home. Is there still interest in other locations? (Beaverton? Bridgeport? Wilsonville?)

I plan to stick around a socialize. There are some people from Portland who might take you up on a different locale. We are a big group these days.

I signed up to go here. But don't have a car, and would need a ride. Or, would prefer to go to theater in Portland. Any takers for that?

Maybe someone will post this as a Portland meetup soon.

Shall we hang for a little while after the movie to hash it over? I love to do that.

sounds like a good plan. I do suggest that you clarify the exact theater and time so that people know where and when. just pick on of the options, I am sure everyone will be on board for it.

Cinetopia is currently running their Groupon Deal, a great bargain, so hook up with a friend if you don;t already have a +1. Can't beat this deal!

$22 for two tix and a $6.50 for a drink. So that brings the price down to $$7.75 a ticket in essence.

The 3D version is at 6pm. The GXL version is at 7:20. What's the verdict?

I love that this is in Vancouver, It's next to impossible for me to do anything in Portland with out a ride, or at least someone to comute (bus, bike, or Max) with. I am not at all familiar with Portland.

Let's have a vote here in the comments.
    Living Room?
    Or GXL?
I confess I like the Living Room seating the best, but not if we have any under 21 people going. Is anyone under 21 going?

    1 · April 26, 2014

I totally prefer the LR seating as well, mostly a matter of the need to purchase early, but this has enough planning to do that.

      I'm only 20. ... GXL!

Showtimes are already posted. Mt recommendation would be for the 6pm Dolby Atmos show, but the 7:20 show is non 3D, which is also a plus. Living Room or GXL becomes the other factor. If 21+ then plan to purchase tickets well in advance. The view is better from the GXL, but the seating is more comfy in the LR Balcony.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
