Yes, by the time the Q and A session ended, it was a bit late. But the "discussion" at Kit's house was mostly just chatting. There were only 4 of us there, and so while we did talk about the film, we were also conversing to get to know each other. I agree with you that the documentary was excellent. The subject matter itself is timely, important, and engaging, but whenever I watch a movie - whatever genre it is - I really care about how it was done. The Island President is very well-made!
Yes, I was indeed there last night. Yes, it's too bad we didn't see each other there! I was looking for members of the meetup group, but it was just really hard to find/recogize anyone. Eventually another member recognized me from my profile photo, and together we went to Kit's house for a post-movie discussion - so that was nice. What did you think of the documentary and the question-and-answer session afterward?
Glad you'll be joining us next weekend, Andrys. Feel free to have your guest join us. -Rhonda
Thanks again. I wouldn't normally dream of introducing my humor, but you seem a genuinely grand lady ... I suspect with a sense of humor!
I add here (humbly) that William F. Buckley Jr., comedienne Phyllis Diller, and author James Michener all have praised my humor.
I believe their quotes are availavble at my site.
PS - I do hope you read the overwhelming quotes concerning the Nebula Series while you were there. Trust me ... I was stunned!

Thanks, Andrys. Sweet of you to answer.
Some background perhaps. I was a film and drama critic for Scripps-Howard Newspapers and UPI for 24 years. Then back to school for my doctorates, and practiced as a clinical psychotherapist for 16 years. I did my "Painting with Light," and wrote a great deal of humor, mostly humorous verse >> http://worlds-premiere-ransom-note-fa...
I'm getting "up there" now, and, alas, admittedly winding down. if you please >> [masked]
Hi, Ron again!
I went to pbase.com/andrys, and was stunned. You are a wonder, dear lady. A wonderful wonder!!
Enjoyed your photos very much. I've traveled a great deal, but perhaps not as much as yourself. Anyway. good eye! I'm Dr. Ron Pataky, at age 76 pretty much "a man for one season!" now. Maybe 1 1/2!
You might enjoy my "Painting with Light" from the early 1980s. >>
It is pure photography, dear, long before computers and using only cameras and film

All warm wishes,
Indeed! I recognized your name, too :) And I was actually only a young teen (13 I think) when using Prodigy!
