Hi, I'm a relative newcomer to night photography, interested in learning more! I live in the east bay hills near wildcat canyon - no streetlights, and a great environment for working with low light. Canon EOS 7D, reasonable lenses, CS5 & Lightshop.
pretty much a beginner!
- learning how to make the the image match what I see at night - capturing the rays of moonlight in the trees, glow of homes snug against the night, etc. - capturing the night sky - star circles, moon, etc. I just have tripod, camera and remote shutter control.

The founders have a wide range of skills and backgrounds - I've had the pleasure of attending a number of Star Circle events now, both in the field, shooting the night sky, and taking part in webinars. It's all been unbelievably engaging, and has helped introduce me to a vibrant and knowledgeable community. The Star Circle Academy is an incredibly valuable resource for night photographers.
