Dinner at Wildflour Market & Bakery (Old Southwest)

Calling all vegetarians (as well as meat eaters)!

Opened by Doug and Evie Robison in 1996 on 4th Street, Wildflour has stood the test of time, a true feat when most restaurants don’t survive the first 3 years. Their mission: unique dishes, whole foods, made from scratch, and prepared with care.

*Fried Green Tomatoes—fresh mozzarella, garlic buttermilk sauce
*Greek Pasta Salad—shell pasta, tomatoes, spinach, feta, kalamata olives, green onions, light vinaigrette with thyme and dill
*California Queso—cheddar and mozzarella melted on a whole wheat tortilla, chopped bacon, jalapeno peppers, sour cream, guacamole, chips, salsa
*Soups: white bean chicken chili, tomato cheddar, (Friday-potato feta, new england clam chowder, gazpacho) (Saturday-autumn garden, potato feta)

*Doug’s Chicken Salad—breast meat, diced cucumbers, rice wine vinegar sesame seed marinade, over a bed of lettuce
*Antipasto—sliced fresh mozzarella, tomato, kalamata olives, dolmas, roasted red peppers, salami or smoked turkey, over field greens
*Cobb Salad—mixed greens, julienned grilled chicken breast, blue cheese, kernels of corn, guacamole, bacon, shredded cheese, salsa, hard-boiled egg
*Surimi Salad—snow crab and alaskan pollock, lemon dill sauce, field greens, tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, lemon

Vegetarian Entrees:
*Parthenon Wrap—diced tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, kalamata olives, chopped lettuce, Italian dressing, homemade hummus, whole wheat wrap, greek pasta salad
*The Doctor’s Mac & Cheese—traditional mac and cheese, mushrooms, garlic, onion, topped with baked bread crumbs
*Incredibella Portabella—marinated portabella mushroom slices, lightly grilled, served on fresh baked bread with melted provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise
*Millet Grain Burger—house made veggie patty, sautéed onion, carrot, cayenne pepper, tomato, red onion, lettuce, secret sauce
*Spinach Ricotta Pie—spinach, ricotta, cheddar, eggs, herbs, flaky pie crust
*Vegetable Lasagna—spinach and mushroom filling, ricotta, mozzarella, goat cheese, parmigiano reggiano, marinara

Non-Vegetarian Entrees:
*Evie’s Famous Crab Cake—solid lump crab meat, pan fried, homemade remoulade, black bean rice mix, house salad
*Maple Soy Glazed Salmon—black beans and rice
*Filet Mignon—red wine reduction, mashed potatoes, house vegetable
*Pork Caprese—pork tenderloin, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, balsamic glaze, mashed potatoes
*Chicken Piccata—pan seared breast, penne pasta, white wine lemon garlic sauce, capers, spinach, tomatoes
*Chicken Saltimbocca—breaded chicken breast, prosciutto ham, angel hair pasta, sage sauce
