Arduino Intro / Advanced Topics

The Bergen MakerSpace(BMS) has invited us back! For those that missed the first intro here is your second chance for a free intro provided by BMS. For the members that have some background in arduino and want to move on we'll have the back room to meet. This room has no computers, so please bring your laptops (Or other devices that can run the Arduino environment and has a USB connection to program the AtMega328P, not sure about your device? Post a question in the comments.)

We can discuss Codbender (https://codebender.cc/) a Arduino web based program environment, if that is of interest. I'll bring in some of my current and past projects, please bring yours. Shared learning is a great way to get to know each other.

BMS will be conducting a separate but inclusive meeting, so feel free to join them or us during the meeting. They are being kind enough, to include our meetup group, in hopes that both groups will benefit and grow. This type of outreach and connection is at the heart of the Maker movement.

Yeah, those leads will work. I don't really see what your question is though...

A quick message for Jim: I have purchased electronic parts and supplies from Marlin P. Jones & Assoc. They deal in surplus material so their stuff is always changing, but they are pretty reasonable. http://www.mpja.com/Clip-Leads-12in-Medium-10Pcs/productinfo/16434%20TE

That's great.I how you have drivers for them too. Also, I'm having trouble connecting a 9v battery to the arguing. Apparently I doesn't have enough power on its own so you need to do this. It's there some special wire our can you do this with regular jumper wires? Ps. I won't be there until around 7

Regular jumpers should be good. I avoid 9V batteries, since you will need a regulator(lots of power consumption). See YOU after 7, I wait till then to start on the Steppers. :)

Ok. If anyone is interested in seeing a steeper motor I'm bringing all my stuff also. I haven't gotten it to work yet, but I think I have all the necessary parts.

Pretty funny, just got some steppers in the mail about 5 minutes ago. I'll bring them along, also.

I have an easydriver but don't know how to solder it together. Does anyone have a soldering iron they use for arduino projects that they can bring?

      Sure, I'll bring it along.

Are kids allowed to attend these, I have a couple that would be super interested in seeing the Bergen MakerSpace?

Yes, if they are mature enough to want to work on Arduino, we want to show them how to. :)

Just got the metal gear servos to update my teachable robotic arm, should have time to mod them today. I'll be bring it to this meeting. Anybody need the 3D printed parts for the arm? (it is the one on thingiverse.com)
