Greetings: PURPOSE: This group is for those of you who are moved by and wish to relate to others who are passionate about the teachings of J.Krishnamurti. INTRODUCTION:Just to share briefly about myself, I am quite passionate and have been very moved by the teachings of the philsopher/sage Jiddu Krishnamurti for the past 3-4 years when I came across his posthumous page online and watched a captivating video clip of his footage on living/dying and fear, which totally resonated with me internally. Since then, I've been hooked on K, have traveled to his home in Ojai and to two of his centers in India. I listen to his talks/ dialogues and have read various of his books given that the themes are timeless and echo what life is all about and how we must continue to question it. It has been a very empowering journey in discovering that we are truly our own teachers and our own students and that no authority or outside agency should ever control who we are and how we live. WHO:This Group is for those of you in Cambridge who resonate with the teachings of K, connect with what I have just shared, and wish to engage in a dialogue and be in a community with others who also share this interest. I invite you to please join. WHEN: I've recently moved to Cambridge and really hope to jumpstart this group by sparking a regular in-person K dialogue group. I was hoping we could meet weekly on Sundays in the Cambridge area. My initial suggestion would be late Sunday afternoon/early evenings at Cafe Algiers in Harvard Square, Cambridge, though I'm open to other suggestions. I'd first like to just reach out to those in this group list, to see who is interested in this group. We could do weekly discussions based on "K" passages and at a later date arrange for screenings of his past talks. Hope to hear from others. Best Wishes. ~Warmly, Mitu
