Writing maintainable software

For the third iteration of the current StartupBootcamp program's Tech Talk we've invited Sieuwert van Otterloo to give a workshop on maintainable software.

Sieuwert van Otterloo is editor of StartupJuncture and independent consultant for IT and strategy, and SBC mentor. Before that he was head of consultancy at the Software Improvement Group, where he did assessments and audits of software quality and maintainability. He has a lot of experience in defining software quality standards, managing risk in software development projects and performing IT and software due diligence for acquisitions and investment decisions.

We’re welcoming all (serial) entrepreneurs, CTOs, developers, lean enthusiasts to this evening. The tech talk will start at 6pm and ends with a drink around 7.30pm, where there’s also plenty of opportunity to discuss the talks, meet other startups and developers.

Hi guys, I'm looking for somebody who was at the last MeetUp but unfortunately I didn't had the change to shake hands. Do you recognize yourself in this description or do you know who this is? You would help me a lot! Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for the English guy who asked a lot of good questions. He was sitting in the back. Wearing flip-flops and a t-shirt. I believe he is in it's mid-30's. Do you know him? I would be happy to be in contact with him. Hope to hear from you!

I feel like presentation was divided in two separate, not connected, parts:
    1) Maintainable software
    2) Dealing with software assessment

Second part was more interesting for me.

Nice talk! Big thanks to organizers and presenter. CU next time

Thanks for the feedback. Agree with the two parts, will think about connecting it more

I were not able to find the location. In case of big office building only a street name with house no is not enough.

Sorry to hear that you couldn't find it - the Vodafone HQ is at the address supplied, the receptionist would've sent you through to our floor. Hope to see you the next time!

Pepijn, the problem is that it was not written anywhere that meetup is in Vodafone HQ. By this address there is at least one more door with offices.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
