Mobile Monday YYC - Is your App an App?!

**REFRESHMENTS AND BEER WILL BE AVAILABLE, BUT NO FOOD SO MAKE SURE YOU EAT BEFORE HAND***

***Note: Location changed to Regus Bankers Hall - 888 3rd Street, South West, 10th Floor, West Tower ***

Mobile Monday is an informal grassroots event that happens around the world on the first Monday of every month for mobile developers, carriers, and connected individuals, and includes industry gossip, tech talk, and lots of beer.

With 125,000 members worldwide, Mobile Monday is a big deal in the global mobile industry.

This edition of MoMoYYC is Native vs HTML5 which spun off of last months event themed Clash of Mobile Dev Platforms. Here's a summary of the speakers and their topics:

MJ Sikorsky and Paul Thornstein - Mint Chocolate Chip vs Vanilla - The argument for Native

If you care about your products/services experience you will absolutely go native or go up in flames :0 !!!! Ok - not that extreme, however we will be explain why native is extremely compelling and why you should care.

Brandon Evans - Why Apps aren't always Apps and why that matters!

HTML5 is still the best option for quickly getting your product into the hands of as many customers as possible. I'll explain why that is and how to decide if it's right for you.

App of the Month - OffCourse - Track your game, lower your score, have more fun!

Good first presentation. Interesting that the "app of the month" was not iOS native, in contrast to the theme of that first presentation. That was enough to convince me.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
