MoMoYYC - User Design for the Masses

Mobile Monday is an informal grassroots event that happens around the world on the first Monday of every month for mobile developers, carriers, and connected individuals, and includes industry gossip, tech talk, and lots of beer. With 125,000 members worldwide, Mobile Monday is a big deal in the global mobile industry.

January’s Mobile Monday will discuss how to design your mobile app for the masses.

Here's a summary of the topics:

Corey Nelson has over 15 years of UX experience. He will be speaking about why most developers fail at delivering an optimal user experience (despite their best efforts), the key to changing this, and concrete steps to take to help your development team create the best user experience possible.

Darren Northcott is the Senior Experience Architect at UX Guys. He will be speaking about how to "Mobile UX for the Mean". His presentation will cover trends, interactions, and mobile UX that are assumed to be common sense by the majority of consumers.

I am a new addition to the city and it was great to meet people in the Calgary tech scene. Glad it has a great vibe!

I wouldn't mind taking a look. I will be busy bringing my company online within eighteen months if all goes well. This might give me some tools I might use toward developing a prototype.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
