Networking Activity (15)
A fast paced human interaction that will acquaint you with your fellow startup specialist
Main topic (45 minutes)
Will meditation improve entrepreneurship?
In this seminar for startup specialists, industrial psychologist and Sanskrit theorist, Atma Degeyndt, will breakdown the relationship between meditation and entrepreneurship. He will discuss if a connection exists, and how much does misperception about the nature of meditation affect its potential value as an entrepreneurial tool.
The seminar will cover:
• The origin and history of meditation
• The psychological implications of meditation
• The possible intersection between meditation and entrepreneurship
• A counter intuitive analysis of what meditation looks like in the modern age
This session will be a though provoking, and practical exploration, of a topic that is on many people’s minds. You will have a chance to rethink your mental and emotion approach to business. As well as reevaluate the implications of how your mind influences your approach to entrepreneurship.
Interactive discussion - your next step (60 minutes)
Participants get to share their current project and pain. They will then receive feedback from the group. To facilitate everyone we break up into groups of 5-7.
About your host -
Atma is a social scientist and entrepreneur who begun studying the implications and obstacles facing startups in 1997. He is founder of the Startup Hero's Journey: a school for startups. His 6 week course is the only certification course for entrepreneurs of its kind.
Why there is no cost:
We are going to waive the previous cover charge. This will be an experiment to see how members manage their RSVPs. To encourage people to respond accurately there is a new rule: anyone with 3 Rsvp no-shows will be removed from the member list (that seems fair :)
The goal of this meetup is to build a community of startup specialists who can help themselves, and others, become more effective in their entrepreneurial pursuits
