Andrew Geant, WyzAnt

Andrew Geant is cofounder and CEO of WyzAnt, the leading marketplace for in-person and online tutoring with nearly two million registered users.  Founded in 2005, WyzAnt is headquartered in Chicago where it currently has 80 employees.  (We’re hiring!)

Through WyzAnt, Drew is passionate about making tutoring more affordable and accessible to students of all ages and backgrounds.  He's equally dedicated to helping tutors reach more students, manage their business and maximize their impact on learning.

WyzAnt makes tutors' lives easier by helping them acquire new customers and providing services like payment processing, scheduling and reporting.  For students and parents, WyzAnt offers services like background checks, progress reports and thousands of free educational resources through WyzAnt Resources.

Drew cofounded WyzAnt with his Princeton classmate, Mike Weishuhn, when they graduated in 2005.  Drew grew up in Maine and in his spare time enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing and trying new restaurants in town.  He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, Katie, and labradoodle, Bogey.

It was great hearing about how their operations grew from a two man partnership to a full-scale business.

Can't wait to attend and learn from Andrew's experience. I am founder of, a social networking & consumption sharing site. I am looking for a web developer partner in exchange for equity ownership. We have completed extensive marketing research, developed a great branding strategy, and have an exceptional plan to take the way of airbnb. If any web developers are interested in chatting, I look forward to meeting you. (PS - won 3rd place in Rockford's 2014 Fastpitch competition).

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
