Andrew Geant is cofounder and CEO of WyzAnt, the leading marketplace for in-person and online tutoring with nearly two million registered users. Founded in 2005, WyzAnt is headquartered in Chicago where it currently has 80 employees. (We’re hiring!)
Through WyzAnt, Drew is passionate about making tutoring more affordable and accessible to students of all ages and backgrounds. He's equally dedicated to helping tutors reach more students, manage their business and maximize their impact on learning.
WyzAnt makes tutors' lives easier by helping them acquire new customers and providing services like payment processing, scheduling and reporting. For students and parents, WyzAnt offers services like background checks, progress reports and thousands of free educational resources through WyzAnt Resources.
Drew cofounded WyzAnt with his Princeton classmate, Mike Weishuhn, when they graduated in 2005. Drew grew up in Maine and in his spare time enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing and trying new restaurants in town. He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, Katie, and labradoodle, Bogey.

So far, we've been to major cities like Tel Aviv, London, Berlin, New York, Miami, Toronto and Moscow to find the best developers in each country — culminating in the World Finals in November. The challenge for the hackathon is to solve a local problem (for example, a hack to help parking woes, homeless shelters, child safety, etc).
