Startup Grind Kalamazoo Hosts Ernie Pang (Simply Eight)

Ernie Pang, Simply Eight

After spending well over 20 years in brand and innovation marketing roles with household brand names like Lysol, Kellogg’s and Slim-Fast Foods, Ernie Pang decided to bring a new concept to consumers.  In 2011, he created Simply Eight with a philosophy of providing minimally processed packaged foods for consumers who want simplicity and familiar kitchen pantry ingredients. With his cross-functional team of former CPG industry executives, he created four new products in the Simply Eight family that are now sold in select Kroger, Meijer and Spartan bannered retail stores.  Current offerings include chewy granola bars and cookies that are all Non--GMO Project Verified.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
