The time has come for another heroic Swedish multi entrepreneur to enter the stage. Join us as we visit the brand new co-working space SUP46 and invite Kristofer Arwin, Founder of Pricerunner and Testfreaks.
Kristofer Arwin is an entrepreneur focusing on Internet business. In 1999 Kristofer founded Pricerunner together with Magnus Wiberg and Martin Alexanderson. Kristofer had been dwelling on the idea for many years. Being a product research freak and annoyed with the large difference in pricing on the same product between retailers, he realized what Internet could do to create transparency and improve the shopping process. He convinced high school mate Magnus and whiz coder Martin to come onboard and start the company, where Kristofer acted as CEO. When they sold the company in 2004, to Nasdaq listed Valuclick, Pricerunner had 120 employees in Europe 60 in India and 20 in Rumania.
In 2007 Kristofer founded Testfreaks together with the same team. This company has gone through a rollercoaster ride with fast international growth reaching 7 million monthly unique users in 2010, predominantly in the US market. At that time with a future looking more than promising, just to realize a bit into 2011 that Google integrated shopping results in Google US gradually killing Testfreaks' business. After some time at the drawing board the business is now transformed into a b2b focusing on providing product review solutions to online retailers. With just over 150 live implementations in more than 10 markets it is looking quite promising.
Kristofer now serves as the Chairman of the board at TestFreaks. Kristofer is on the board, has been on the board, or involved in starting up the following Internet businesses: Tradedoubler, Unibet, Addnode, Buzzador, Stagepool, Ubetoo, Alertsec.
Kristofer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from University of Stockholm. Kristofer started his career as a trainee at Uniliver.
