I'm the founder and principal of Branded Beverage Consulting, independent promoters of craft spirits, representing about 50 brands from a dozen different suppliers from around the globe; services include market research, product launch/relaunch, large and small events, education and compliance.
I'm a third year novice who received a huge boost up the learning curve within the past 12 months, thanks in part to attending a couple of Single Malt Society events, as well as partnering with the Burn Stewart Distilleries (Scotland). I can distinguish peated vs. unpeated malts (for the most part), and I believe I can tell chill filtered from un-chill filtered whiskies, too. I can point out The Highlands, Islay and Mull on a map (still planning my first trip).
