Legal Issues for Startups - Hosted by Social Entrepreneurship OC

Please join Orange County Social Entrepreneurship

For those of us who are interested in the following:

• Social Good

• Social Entrepreneurship

• Cause Marketing

• Impact Investing

we are fortunate to have an accomplished attorney willing to come speak about the two most popular legal entities chosen by social entrepreneurs: Benefit Corporations and Flexible Purpose Corporations. Learn about the distinctions, ask questions, and hear stories about her clients, social enterprises.

Speaker bio:

Shaheen Sheik-Sadhal became a lawyer because she believes in justice. Having spent a lifetime servicing the nonprofit sector on various issues - the arts, women's rights, water conservation, human rights - Shaheen resolved that effective change could not be enacted without ample resources, and thus she firmly believes in the core principles of Social Entrepreneurship.

Merging her passion for social justice, her love of the law, and her entrepreneurial spirit gave birth to Esse Law Group, a boutique law firm empowering today's social entrepreneurs and start-ups to find their bottom-line in the new sustainable economy: profitability and positive social impact.

About Social Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship Orange County Meetup Group (feel free to join):

Social Entrepreneurship is a relatively new concept, to do SOCIAL GOOD, while making money. Rather than a non-profit, the idea of doing good while also seeking to generate a profit, has the potential to solve the needs of underserved communities faster and more consistently than non-profits. We are forming a group of people interested in Social Entrepreneurship, and Social Enterprise, and we currently have 4 goals. To educate the community about the concept (so anyone is welcome). To discuss successful models that are working. To invent new business models. To host fun events with great speakers.
