Tell us about your startup...

Golf Pipeline is being created to handle tee time reservations, golf social networking, score tracking, and handicap management. It is bridging the concepts of Travelocity, OpenTable, Evite, and Facebook in the golf world. The problem that we're solving is that the vast majority of golf reservations are still booked manually and most golf courses do not participate in a centralized golf tee time reservations solution because there is not one that exists that allows them to dictate their own price and make all of their inventory available. For the golfer, our solution offers unique value by offering the ability to invite your fellow golfers to join and accept the tee time electronically, in addition to managing their golf game online. Today, there are more than 28 million golfers in the United States, including 16 million avid golfers. No website currently exists that enables golfers to book online tee times, track their score, and interact with other golfers all in one place.

How far along are you in your startup?

We have several recent/relevant accomplishments that are worth noting, including 11 signed golf courses, a technology bridge with the leading tee time network, acceptance from more than 50 courses who have said that this is the model they want to work with, completed an RFP and have chosen a development partner for our technology with development having been started as of the first week of December, and we've recruited an industry-leading and renowned sales person who works in the tee time inventory space and has solid golf course contacts across the country. The management team has funded ourselves through to launch. We are currently seeking funding for an aggressive sales and marketing campaign.
