Hey All. A BIG FAT reminder that we're meeting again tomorrow night. Would be great to see you there to support the pitching entrepreneurs and to meet up again. I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed chatting and getting to know about your startup endeavours. Please register your interest in the current meet up group http://www.meetup.com/Start... and look forward to seeing you there!!

Hey guys. A reminder to register an interest for the second TWiSTldn meetup, taking place 24th August at The Collective in Camden Town. We still have a couple of pitch places to fill so go to TWiSTldn.com to register as a pitcher! Mick will kindly be videoing again and we've had quite a lot of interest from the investment community, so should be a great meetup. I'm working on the free Beer & food too!!! Spread the word.

Great - thanks!

@tom - If you don't mind missing the pitching session, we can let you in at 6.45 for the link up to the US if that would help. You can wait downstairs at The Bell Pub (http://www.thebellpub.co.uk...) and we will call you.

Shit, there's no way I'll make it before 6. Surely there must be a break or something to let late comers in?
Posted by Tom P KoteckiJuly 20, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Good morning all,
A few final points on tonight's meetup.
* There is a £5 registration fee at the door, although you will get some light refreshments for your hard earned cash. * Due to the venue layout, late attendees would be disruptive to the pitching companies. For this reason, we will be closing the doors at 5.35. Please attend early to avoid disappointment.
It should be a great event. Good luck to the pitching companies and I'll see you later.

Hey Guys, the London group has a dedicated Twitter account @TWiSTldn and a blog site www.twistldn.com. I've featured the various people from the show who took part in Ask Jason and the Shark Tank segments who came from London. I think it would be a good base for updates from the UK generally. Check it out and let me know what you think

Hi Guys
Okay, I have a great update for you. The venue has moved up the road (and around the corner) to The Flying Burrito, 62 Middlesex st. This is a great, intimate venue, with a super atmosphere and great food. There will now be a small cover charge of £5 to cover the cost of cleaning and delicious finger food.
Techhub had to withdraw their offer to host us at the last moment - but pitching to CA from a burrito bar seems more appropiate anyway!

Hi Inmaculada,
Just to be clear. On the evening, we will be having our own pitch event. The winner of which will go forward to connect with Jason via Skype. It'll still be a great event.

Hi Peter
Thanks for pointing this out. I have updated the meetup time to 5.30. We'll get through as many pitches as we can before the event.

Hi All,
I'm glad to finally announce that we have a venue for this event. Techhub have agreed to host us next Tuesday night. I am just back from the place, and I think it will serve as a great venue. This also means we can run the event without a fee for attendance.
Just wanted to point out that Jason always, always gets his timezones wrong on that show. 11 AM California time (or 2PM East coast) is 7.00 PM UK time (ie BST), not 8 as at the top of this meetup!

Hi All
I am putting together a short list of companies to pitch on the night. If you would like to put your name forward, please send a short (2 - 3 line) description of your pitch to james [at] jameskennedy.ie

A good venue is LBS, especially for summer walk in evening through greenery.

A bit of good news. I have two possible venues lined up, so we are going ahead regardless. Either way it looks like it'll be in EC1.

I plan on promoting the event at next weeks 'Open Coffee'.
