Summer Evening Dance Series-Belly Dancing

"Put your dancing shoes on! Every Wednesday in July and August, the Children’s Museum will be hosting their FREE Summer Evening Dance Series. The night begins at 5 p.m. with a free snack at 6 p.m. and the dancing begins at 7 p.m. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner and dine under the tent on the Meadow. There will be a few minutes of instruction and then everyone is invited to get up and boogies! July is International Month, and features cultural dance form all over the globe; August is American Month, with artists presenting traditional American dancing."

Celebration starts at 5pm. You are encouraged to bring dinner and can eat out on the lawn under the tent. Free snacks are available at 6pm and dancing starts at 7pm. I will most likely be there at 6:30pm to have the kids eat a quick snack and be there before the dancing begins. Belly dancing is performed on July 9th.

Would this be appropriate for me and my 2 month old? Just looking to get out.

Hi Linda, it will be my first time being there as well so I'm not sure but I can only assume the first hour or so we can meet and chat because people can arrive at 5 or 6 and the dancing only starts at 7pm.

As for the dancing part, you can always hold your baby but if that doesn't seem like too much fun you can always just stay to watch. It's up to you! There are other dancing events because the children's museum hosts different dances every Wednesday so you can decide when you want to come. PS: it's a lot easier to get out with your little one when they are that young because most sleep the whole time and like to observe everything lol! I really hope I answered your question :) hope to see you soon.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
