Have some beer!

No presentations, no difficult questions about algorithms or syntax...in fact you hardly have to think at all! Come relax and join your fellow software developers for a few beers.

I'll try to make reservations at Cardinalen. If that doesn't work, we may end up at Newsman, Kontoret, or some other place in the area. I'll be sure to update this page with the latest information.

If this date doesn't work for you, let's discuss it on the mailing list. If this date is a problem for many people, we can certainly move it.

I've been alternating months between talks and beer, but we can certainly have more beer nights. In fact, feel free to suggest one yourself. I'd love it if the group did a little "self-organizing" and arranged these things without my direct intervention.

Just this week in particular, or is it something like "all odd weeks are bad"?

On the topic of dynamic vs. static typing, here's a link to Rob Smallshire's talk "The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Dynamic Typing" at JavaZone (last year's, I think.)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
