My professional interests lie primarily in Python and C++ programming, and I spend a great deal of time with systems built in both languages. In my spare time I also use those languages, but I also poke around in emacs lisp, scheme, a small bit of haskell, and whatever else looks interesting. I'm also quite interested in software architecture, both as an activity and as a product.
In no particular order: GPU programming, JIT compilation, Clojure, web development, distributed and concurrent computing, continuous integration, and computer vision.
I'm co-founder and technical director of Sixty North AS, a small software development, consulting, and training company based in Stavanger and Oslo. I'm originally from Austin, Texas, but I've lived in Stavanger for several years now.
