Wonderful hike! Cloudy day and perfect temperature for hiking. The climb to the high elevations was a bit of a challenge, but it was so rewarding to see all the beautiful views of the valleys and surrounding areas from various points along the trail. Great cardio and aerobic workout with a group of very nice people to enjoy it with!

Quick reminder for our attendees for this event Hiking in the Mt. Diablo State Park for Macedo ranch requires a 6 $ per car fee for day use in their lot . Car parking fee, hikers are no charge .

It's only 6 bucks to park all day in their lot at the trailhead. there is a self service kiosk (unattended), Grab an envelope, write your vehicle license plate # on the outside of the envelope ,stick 6 bucks inside the envelope and insert that into a metal post designated for self parking in this State Park Parking area. The fees collected go to the State Park Preservation Program . If you want to park for free there's a few opportunities outside the park, maybe meet at the High School and carpool in ,save a few dollars.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
